With his brand new album 100 Acres of Sycamore scheduled for release this coming August 12th, Fionn Regan is about to embark on his first Irish tour since early 2010. This intimate set of live performances will give fans of the singer-songwriter the chance to hear the spectacular new songs from the forthcoming album.
100 Acres of Sycamore, the follow-up to Fionn Regan's critically acclaimed The Shadow of an Empire, is not just a beautiful and incisive album, it’s also the Bray native’s most personal statement yet: "This record, I think it’s me making peace with myself”. Brimming with stunning tracks, many beautifully rich and layered affairs with soaring instrumentation, 100 Acres Of Sycamore is a record you could easily get lost inside.
A full tracklisting for the album is below:
1. 100 Acres Of Sycamore

While ‘For A Nightingale’ will be the first official single from the album, Mercury and Choice Prize-nominated Fionn is currently offering the album's title track as a free download for his fans on his official website, which you can access here. The track was debuted at this month's Belfast Quarter Arts Festival and, judging by its atmospheric and mesmerising sound, which perfectly supports Fionn's pure and almost haunting vocals, it signals that the forthcoming album will undoubtedly be one of the strongest releases of 2011.
In celebration of Fionn's forthcoming album release, the lovely people behind Universal Music Ireland have given me a pair of tickets for Fionn's Dublin gig at the Grand Social on Thursday 21st July to offer up to one Rarities reader.
