The Choice Music Prize took place tonight at Vicar Street in Dublin and featured stellar performances from nine of the ten shortlisted acts (Imelda May was unable to attend due to touring commitments). In order of their appearance at the event:

Just after 10:30pm, Two Door Cinema Club were announced as the winners of this year's Choice Music Prize for their debut album Tourist History! The lovely Down lads graciously accepted the award, revealing to the Vicar Street crowd that would be donating the €10,000 cheque to a charity in Uganda.
Wouldn't have been my personal "Choice" but there are without a doubt some top quality tracks on the album; well done Two Door Cinema Club!
